Meanwhile back in the island

from w
While Suva is buzzing with news of the nurses' strike, the threatened teachers' strike and, lots of the civil service may be disrupted tomorrow, back in the island of Vorovoro, life goes on at its easy-going pace. Here is a picture, courtesy of tribewanted of Raijeli preparing the dinner. A peaceful scene.

Back in the Island
Looking for peace and harmony is just as close as your next door friends.
Raijieli a daughter of Vorovoro chief is helping in the kitchen pealing Tavioka.

I guess many tourists go to the South Pacific looking for peace and harmony and they talk happily with strangers, yet back home they don't take time to listen to their own neighbours.
Raijieli is named after Apenisa's sister I presume. She looks peaceful, the way she is sitting on the bench, not like the rushed way I do my cooking here. Anyway I haven't burnt the rice this week!
