Teaching Computer Studies in Fiji

I googled the name Cameron Buckner after reading parts of his travel stories about Vanua Levu and found this paper entitled 'The Guessing Game: Teaching Computer Studies in Fiji'. This is written of course in a different style from the racy travel diary kind of writing. This one is a serious look at teacher-student relationships in a Fiji classroom in Savusavu.

The site takes time to download - at least for me with dial-up, but Buckner's paper is enlightening and of particular interest to teachers.

PS It seems that Peceli is too busy in Labasa to post on this site. He's planting mahogany it seems, or weeding seven hundred little Caribbean Pine trees or building a fence to stop the neighbour's cow and goat from eating them! Well, that's what he tells me on the phone. Probably he's yarning and drinking kava.
