Packing a container for Fiji
from Peceli
The container is full and now locked, ready to send to Fiji. Here are some photos taken at the Geelong depot of Donation in Kind on Tuesday morning. One is of Wendy, Errol and Joy packing books donated by a local school. Most volunteers are retired people with connections with Rotary, or just friends who want something useful to do.

What a great thing you guys are doing!! All those wonderful things being shipped over. Well done.
(PS nice to see the lovely photo of Rob on your remembrance post 11/11)
Hello Meg.
As long as the guys at the Lautoka wharf don't put duty on these second-hand goodies! It is a guessing game what happens.
Re our son, some of the older Treasure Island staff may have known him when he was at Lakomai Resort (now something else).

Hi Wendy & Peceli,
Well done for filling a container. Great effort. Can I ask where will all these things will go? Are they destined for particular villages in need, if so which ones? Hope you don't mind me asking. I loved reading your page 'Babasiga: Day in Rukurukulevu.

Bula vinaka Su,
Based on a wish list, the guys here try to match up the goods as close as possible to the needs. The container goes to Lautoka, then to Cuvu and from there the items are distributed to a hospital, nursing stations, schools, etc. But I think school has broken up for the year so some boxes might have to wait.
The container this week is being packed to go to Papua New Guinea, so the work never stops!
