Some of the children from Vatuadova and family from Australia had a boat ride along the coast of Macuata to look at the suggested site for the new port of entry for Labasa. Malau is already a busy port for sugar and timber. Here are some of the photos.

The wedding in Wailevu village was very fine. Samisoni is from Bameti's Wailevu clan and the bride came from a village in Cakaudrove. The other photo is of the children of Vatuadova who sang songs for me and we gave them biscuits and chocolates! School has broken up now for the year so the children are playing. I'm getting back into the rhythm of Fijian village life with visitors, functions, parties going on for the Christmas season. God blesses us indeed.

Palm Sunday and Children's Sunday

In Fiji in the Methodist tradition Children's Sunday is on Palm Sunday and the children dress in white and lead the worship service. Here in Australia sometimes this is the custom but for us this afternoon, well, some kids dressed in white but they still had their Sunday School where they made palm leaf crosses to give out to their parents and others.
