Fiji live have announced the team to go to the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow but there won't be team games for Fiji such as rugby.
A total of 26 athletes will represent Fiji at the Commonwealth Games in Scotland as FASANOC confirms a late attempt for the inclusion of rugby and netball teams was unsuccessful. FASANOC chief executive Lorraine Mar confirmed that Fiji will not be participating in any team sports including Rugby Sevens in the Commonwealth Games scheduled for July 23 to August 3. Fiji will be represented in athletics, judo, shooting, lawn bowls, swimming and weightlifting. The announcement of the athletes today also opens up a 48-hour appeal window for any appeals regarding the selection of the team. Appeals as with those for the team selected for the China Youth Olympic Games are to be submitted before 5pm on Sunday.
